Lone Wolf Distributors has introduced a .22-caliber conversion kit for the Glock family of pistols that pushes a 39-grain jacketed hollow point at 2,000 feet per second out of a G17-length barrel.

Lone Wolf calls the round 22 TC M9R, and it's way hotter than existing rimfire conversions for the Austrian polymer pistols. The kit consists of everything you need to swap calibers, including a new barrel, recoil spring, guide rod, and a Gen4 guide rod adapter to make either your Glock 17 or 19 capable of velocities nearing rifle territory.

Most of the magic is housed in the cartridge, a severely necked-down 9mm case fitted with a .22 caliber bullet. The round is based off of Armscor’s successful 22 TCM cartridge, but has been shortened to fit standard Glock magazines. Even with standard pistol powders, the result is a real screamer.

Even though the round is traveling around 2,000 feet per second, the light 39-grain projectile helps keep felt recoil to a minimum. This makes the conversion a good choice for recoil-sensitive shooters to train with, allowing practice with their everyday carry gun. The 22 TCM 9R is also well suited to plinking, or to add challenge to your small game hunts.
