Few rifles have gained the versatility of function and looks from dozen upon dozens of aftermarket products like the Ruger 10/22. The fact that's it's a semiautomatic .22LR makes it easy to modify and fit inside a housing or a chassis, like some of the kits highlighted in this American Classic story we did on the gun.
You can make a Ruger 10/22 look like almost anything, from an MG42 machine gun to an MP5 submachine gun. Now, this new kit from Ravenwood International is offering a chassis for the regular Ruger 10/22 and the Takedown model that shapes it into an MSR.
The polymer and aluminum RW-AR22 has a lifetime warranty and works with any of the standard 10- to 25-round Ruger magazines. The kit includes an aluminum forend, a pistol grip, and a six-position buttstock.
"Our goal was to come in to the 10/22 Takedown accessory market and offer a modern transformation unlike anything else out there," said a company spokesperson in a post from outdoorwire.com. "This kit offers a complete rifle renovation in one box that the firearm's owner can complete easily in minutes."
