The new Kahr Gen2 Premium Pistols fit into the racecar category of semiautomatics. They are full-size, high-end pistols with attractive details and features, such as match-grade polygonal rifled Walther Lothar barrels. Kahr says there will be a dozen models in four barrel lengths and three calibers—9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP. They’ll be priced from $976 to $1,668 and will be available in the 9mm and .45 ACP this summer. Kahr notes that small parts like the slide stop are machined from bar stock, and many of the small internal components are plated with a high tech coating for easier cleaning and longer wear.
These are not typical carry guns, but they are stylish, and Kahr is known for function and accuracy. The 5- and 6-inch models will also have the option of toting a Leupold DeltaPoint red-dot sight.
