The Stevens brand has been put on a lot of firearms in its 150-year-plus history, most notably .22 rimfire rifles and single-shot and double-barrel shotguns priced for the working man. The company’s latest model, the 555 Enhanced Over/Under, continues the company’s commitment to value while incorporating performance-driven features.
The 555 has an engraved aluminum receiver, which contributes to the gun’s light weight compared to other models, with a steel insert to reinforce the breech. All models come with five choke tubes that screw into the chrome-lined barrels. It also features a single selective mechanical trigger, tang safety, and automatic shell ejector.
The 12-gauge version has 28-inch barrels and weighs six pounds. The 20-gauge, 28-gauge, and .410 bore versions wear 26-inch barrels and come in at 5 ½ pounds. All have a 14 3/8-inch length of pull.
MSRP is $863 for all gauges. Get details here.
