new Remington R2Mi .50 BMG bolt action rifle
The new Remington R2Mi .50 BMG bolt action rifle. The bolt is operated by the shooter’s left hand and casings eject from the right. Remington

Remington has a new big bore bolt gun on its roster: the R2Mi bolt gun chambered for the always intimidating .50 BMG.

This new rifle is built for long-range accuracy with a free-floated barrel featuring a 1:15″ twist and 8-groove rifling—just right for harnessing sub-MOA accuracy from the .50 BMG round.

What’s more interesting, is the bolt gun is built so the action is operated with the shooter’s left hand with the casings ejected on the right side of the gun. This means there’s no need for right-handed shooters to come off the rifle at all while comfortably working the bolt.

The rifle feeds from an impressive 10-round magazine, of which two are included, and is built to be easy to break down and maintain.

The upper receiver locks into the lower receiver with two integral pins, much like an AR. On the muzzle is an AAC brake that accepts Cyclops suppressors as well as an included steel folding bipod.

At the rear is a Magpul PRS Gen3 buttstock that is adjustable for length of pull and cant with an adjustable height cheek piece.

An integrated full-length Picatinny rail—with a gap at the front of the receiver—ensures any combination of optics and accessories have plenty of room for mounting.

The rifle ships in a Pelican case with the two mags and even eye and ear protection. SRP: $4.599
